California

Brentwood, CA

Architecture, location and a slice of Hollywood history! This impeccably maintained Mid-Century Modern treasure is one of TV's most familiar exteriors, a stand-in for the fictional Miami locale of The Golden Girls. The TV interior was just a set; the inside of the real Brentwood residence was private and is being revealed for the first time in 65 years. Inspired by the beauty of Mid-Century Japanese/Hawaiian architecture, award-winning Hawaiian architects Johnson and Perkins were commissioned to design this 4-bedroom dream home, custom built in 1955. Floor to ceiling glass, clerestory windows and ultra-high beamed ceilings create expansive volume and visual transparency perfectly connecting indoors and out.

Colorado

Telluride, CO

This modern architectural masterpiece is perched on a point featuring thrilling views of Telluride’s most dramatic peaks. 296 Gray Head Lane was masterfully designed by Poss Architecture, the top architectural firm in Aspen, Colorado, Telluride’s more glamorous sister town. Radically designed, this exceptional home was inspired by the surrounding ridgelines and sprawling mesas while effortlessly framing the iconic Wilson Peak in almost every room. Natural elements draw the dramatic steel structure into the landscape and floor to ceiling glass displays boundless views panning from east to west, showcasing Telluride’s box canyon and the slopes of Telluride Ski Resort.

New York City

Lenox Hill, NY

Located at the corner of East 69th Street and Madison Avenue in the former Westbury Hotel, this magnificent two-story penthouse offers panoramic views overlooking the New York skyline and Central Park. The hotel was opened in 1927 during the height of the Roaring 20’s and was converted into 47 condominium apartments in 1999. Smith Architectural Group was commissioned to convert the top two floors of the building into a luxury penthouse reminiscent of those in the classical pre-war buildings of New York. In a herculean effort, the top two floors of the building were removed and rebuilt to allow for the numerous mechanical, electrical, and structural elements. The final result was a 6,241 square foot penthouse which has widely been considered one of New York’s finest homes.
